Gardener’s Notes: Plants thrive in cool weather. In early spring, as soon as ground can be worked, sow seeds 2 inches apart into rich, fertile, well-drained soil. When several inches tall, thin or transplant seedlings 6-8 inches apart so plants have room to mature. Keep well weeded and watered. Fertilize every 2-3 weeks with a high nitrogen fertilizer. Harvest when heads are plump and well filled out. Sow again in late summer for a fast-growing fall crop.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
A fast-growing crop for spring and fall. Vaseshaped plants have beautiful deep red leaves with bright green stems. Flavor is mild and sweet. High in nutrition and perfect for quick and delicious stir-fries. It can be grown as a baby leaf or mature to loose heads.
