Purple Basil - Red Rubin

Gardener’s Notes: Start seeds indoors 6 weeks before transplanting outdoors after nights are above 50°F (10°C). Sow in a container of seed starting mix 1 inch apart and ¼ inch deep. Or, sow directly outdoors in rich, moist soil in late spring when night temperatures are at least 55°F (13°C). Thin or transplant seedlings 8-10 inches apart. Pinch back stems and flower stalks to encourage branching and leaf production. To harvest, cut or pinch stems above a pair of leaves to encourage branching and growth.
