Gardener’s Notes: Beans need warm weather and fertile, well-drained soil. Plant in late spring after night temperatures reach 55°F (13°C). To plant in rows, space seeds every 4-6 inches and use tall supports. For snap beans, harvest the green, tender pods when 6-8 inches. For shelly beans, pick when the seeds are fully developed but the pod is still fresh. For dry beans, pick when pods dry on the plant and beans have darkened.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
A versatile variety used as a snap, shelly, or dried bean. Young pods are 6-8 inches long and dark green with purple streaks that fade when cooked. Shelly beans are beige with purple speckles and can be cooked similar to lima beans. Dried beans are brown with dark streaks, great for soups and chili. Ready to harvest in 60-90 days.
