Gardener’s Notes: Start seeds indoors 6 weeks before transplanting outdoors after nights are above 50°F (10°C). Sow in a container of seed starting mix 1 inch apart and barely cover. Or sow outdoors in moderately rich, moist soil in late spring when nights are at least 50°F (10°C). Thin or transplant seedlings 10-12 inches apart. To harvest, cut stems just above a pair of leaves to encourage branching and continuous growth. Cut flower stalks before they mature to discourage heavy reseeding. Hardy to USDA Zone 4.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
This fragrant, easy-to-grow perennial herb in the mint family is known for its citrus-scented leaves, medicinal calming properties, and culinary versatility. For best flavor, harvest the bright green, crinkled leaves before flowering begins in midsummer.
