Gardener’s Notes: Plant directly into rich soil in full sun in spring only when nights reach 55°F (13°C). Sow groups of 2-3 seeds, 1 inch deep and 12-18 inches apart. When seedlings are 2 inches tall, thin out extras, leaving one strong seedling per group. Cucumbers need adequate and consistent moisture to produce sweet, well-formed fruits.
