Gardener’s Notes: Cilantro needs cool weather, best to sow early spring and fall. Direct sow seeds 1-2 inches apart in rows about 8-12 inches apart, then thin seedlings to 4-6 inches once established. Plant in full sun or part shade in loose, fertile, welldrained soil. Sow every 2-3 weeks until midsummer for continuous supply. Harvest as needed before flowers appear. When plants bloom, they attract butterflies and other pollinators galore.
