Gardener’s Notes: Best to start seeds indoors 4-5 weeks before last frost in a container of seed-starting mix. Space seeds 1 inch apart. When seedlings have a few sets of true leaves, transplant into individual containers. As plants mature, pinch to encourage branching. Plant outdoors in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Petunias grow easily in containers; be sure to use fresh potting soil when planting and feed monthly with a liquid, all-purpose fertilizer. Tender perennial USDA Zones 9-11.
